Kharkara Village

3rd October 2014

Naya Haryana
Kharkara Village is around 5 kms away from Meham, on NH 10 towards Rohtak. An old temple stands near the road, whilea government school lies on the other side of it. In the evening, women get busy herding the cattle back home, while men can be seen playing cards under the tree. Women shoulder a lot of responsibilities both in and outside their home. The state of women in Haryana is not an enviable position at the moment. A lot of work is required to be done to bring change and some gender equality in this village.
